What we’ve learned in San Francisco

This is the kind of post that you never take the time to write, neither do we.

As we’re really serious when it comes to blogging, and even if we’ve landed a couple of hours ago, totally jet-lagged, here is the summary of what we’ve learned during our 10 days in San Francisco together with the webmission.

  • Leave your ego at the airport,
  • Forget everything you know,
  • Anyway, people will unconsciously do it for you,
  • Rent a bike and visit their city (great idea Edouard),
  • Be positive and never ever shout the competitors,
  • Go towards people and ask them about their story, high chances they do the same job as you (ask Melvyn),
  • Be shy to pitch,
  • Then pitch in 10 seconds if they ask,
  • Things are going fast, really FAST, anything —- from a discussion to a pitch, can bring you a business meeting, the next hour, or right now, in a taxi (no joke!),
  • Stay in touch with the people you meet,
  • Skip the burgers and late drinks, one day out of two,
  • Have fun!

We’ve been there to meet the local scene, see how things are going in the First League, and it was amazing! We now are way stronger players. Before another trip in SF. Asap!

Thanks a million to Jenny for, well, everything, you did a great job! Thanks Nicolas, Antoine, Caroline and Xavier (quel sang-froid au volant, BANG BANG!), FX for clarifying our pitch. It was nice to meet you all: François, Myrto, Caramello, Yannick, Pierre-Yves, Florent, Edouard, Nicolas, Didier, Bruno, Wim, Laurent, Arnaud, Fabian, Rusinsky, Eric, Sam, Kurt & Joris, Bart (view all).

Guess what? We even took some pictures.

Checkthis sits between nothing and a blog.

It lets you create a beautiful poster that you can paste on any social network.

Today people use checkthis to invite friends to an event, showcase a creative project, or even selling objects.

Best of all, it takes seconds, there is no set-up, no skills needed, and the registration is optional.
